Hello everyone and welcome to Plus Modern Design!!  I am Keith Wardlaw, founder & lead designer.  I started Plus Modern Design when searching Kansas City for urban / modern furniture pieces that were quality and affordable.  With little luck, I was forced to find most products online and design custom pieces myself.  I knew there had to be a better way!! So, I decided if I couldn’t find it here I would introduce it to Kansas City, by helping easily attain the look and products associated with urban / modern interior design.  While modern design is not all we offer at Plus Modern Design, we do have a knack for it!

As the founder & lead designer at Plus Modern Design, I bring 10 years of visual merchandising experience along with 8 years of business management. While I wear many hats to the business, my true passion is interior design. As founder and lead designer, I oversee all projects. I pay close attention to detail and love to challenge myself to think outside of the box. This maintains a connection with clients and gives them a one of a kind design experience.

​When not at + Modern Design: I enjoy trying the new local fair with friends and a nice glass of wine.

Design can be expressed through many mediums. While I may not have the color or texture sense, I certainly am creative when it comes to business affairs.

As a finance connoisseur at heart, I am responsible for the overall financial direction and strategy of Plus Modern Design. I am also heavily involved with other company initiatives including operations and marketing. Educated at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, I hold a B.B.A. and M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance.
